Jewelry Design

Jewelry CAD Design & 3D Printing in Istanbul

CAD is where a jewellery idea becomes manufacturable — or quietly becomes a problem. We build models in Rhino to real tolerances, validate them for printing, and hand over files a caster can run without a conversation.

From sketch to printable model

We work from whatever you have: a hand sketch, a reference photograph, a competitor piece you want to improve on, or an existing model that needs correcting. The first step is agreeing the hard constraints — metal, stone sizes and shapes, ring size, target weight and price point.

Modelling then happens in Rhino, with stone seats, prongs, galleries and shanks built to dimensions a setter will recognise. We check wall thicknesses against the minimums your chosen casting process needs, not against what merely looks fine on screen.

Print and casting preparation

A model that renders beautifully is not automatically printable. Before delivery every file is checked for naked edges, non-manifold geometry and inverted normals, then exported as a watertight STL or 3MF at the resolution your bureau expects.

We can advise on sprue placement and print orientation, and where useful we'll liaise directly with your printing service or caster so the first print is the right one.

Rendering before you cast

Casting a range to find out which pieces sell is expensive. Photorealistic KeyShot renders let you test a collection with buyers, run pre-orders or build an e-commerce listing while the pieces are still files.

We render each design across the metals and stone combinations you actually plan to offer — yellow, white and rose gold, platinum, different stone colours — from a single model.

Questions

Frequently asked

Native Rhino 3DM working files, watertight STL and 3MF for printing, STEP where a manufacturer requires it, and high-resolution PNG or JPEG renders. You receive all of them.

Yes. Send the file and we'll audit it for manufacturability — wall thickness, stone seats, naked edges — and either repair it or rebuild it properly, whichever is more economical.

We prepare and validate the files and coordinate with printing bureaus. Being in Istanbul, we can arrange resin printing and casting locally when that's convenient for you.

Typically 5 to 10 working days from approved concept to validated print file, depending on complexity and stone count. Collections are scheduled per piece and agreed up front.
